On using precision resistor material (stainless steel layer), which has been vaporised onto the ceramic body in high vacuum, the highest accuracy of the given tolerances at good high frequency characteristics is reached. The desired resistance value is achieved through the etching or grating of the coils.

The resistor layer consists of a metallic oxide, in most cases of a tin oxide layer of approx. 1mm thickness. The outer shell consists of a silicone coating. These layer resistors are depleted of inductance and can carry a considerably higher load than coal layer resistors of the same type. The resistors (IT, type series MOX) have a rated loadcarrying capacity of 4 watt and 10 watt. The ohmic resistances lie between the values of 0.22 Ohm and 47 Ohm.

Special features of MOX*4 and MOX*10 are that they both have very low inductance as well as a flame-retardant encapsulation. All resistors are colour coded.

HIGH POWER RESISTORS
The high-power resistor series (HPR-300) with a maximum dissipation loss of 300 Watt (with heat sink) is best suited to test amplifi ers and power amplifi ers when operating under full load. By the means of a simple series connexion a multiple of 300 Watt can be realised if required when higher outputs are needed. In the duplexer design as well, however, this high load resistor is fi rst choice when the point is to adapt high performance systems or speakers to one another
